Oh Wow – have all my Benny
friends been watching the Paralympics?
My friend Emily White from
Fareham in Hampshire went along to see the Basketball – lucky Emily. She has
promised to send me some photos – so keep your eyes peeled for those. She also
told me that she went on the London underground for the very first time – how
fantastic!
My favourite athlete at the
moment is David Weir – the wheelchair racer. He was competing for his 8th
Paralympic medal, and 4th gold medal, when I was watching him last week. I think
all those medals around his neck would be very heavy! Ha Ha.
Just watching all these
different sports, makes me want to keep fit as well. I have been training and
drinking lots of water to keep hydrated. I told Mummy Bear that I want to take
part in the next Paralympics, which is in 4 years time, 2016, in Rio De
Janeiro. She said that I would need to train until 3016 to be as fit as they
all are! Very funny Mummy.
I think it is great, at long
last people are talking about the sport and what fantastic athletes – not only
about the disability. So keep on watching and practising – maybe I will be
writing about YOU in my blog in a few years time!
